If you will see me as someone evil,
to speak up or fight, I shall never do.
My heart aches to get out of this veil -
from my own darkness of guilt and sorrow.
For I have done some unspeakable acts,
I have cheated and took delight in lies.
How I have craftily bended the facts,
and took flight with my enemies prizes.
If you will expose me now for my sins,
bitterness will not fill my lonesome heart.
But, dishonor from the gaze of the saints,
as I roam alone on the face of earth.
Stare me down; do judge me for my vileness.
Only then, I’ll find freedom from solace.
