Courageous March

For a moment, the end,
proudly you have conquered.
Fruit of your toil, you earned,
wounds will finally mend.

Still, road covers afar-
A smoother start,
bumpy sections.
Beyond more, a question.

Thus, never will it end,
as the spirit’s fire burn-
Far more way to extend,
much more from life to learn.

As a chapter closes,
hopes, we won’t lose.
Forward we go,
                   for a new tomorrow.

God places the heaviest burden on those who can carry its weight.

Could Have Been

Could've been so beautiful
Could've been so right
Could've been my lover
Every day of my life
Could've been so beautiful
Could've been so right

'Don't cry over spilled milk,' as they say it. What's done can never be undone. We'll just have to accept the fact even it hurts a lot knowing we could have done something.

My poem Could Have Been was inspired by the song  Could've Been by Tiffany. This song on the other hand was inspired by an unromantic experience of mine.

My poem Could Have Been. Sometimes its better not to think thoroughly and just act.

Sonnet 006

What could be the color of love so true?
Can it be red, luscious as girl’s lips?
A sunny flower with a yellow hue?
Or the whitest orchid with a rains kiss?
For God had shown the color of His love,
with the cease of His wrath at men’s evil.
No more of His flood to come from above.
Hence, this pact remains in a rainbows veil.
Still, how does a blind person see true love?
From birth, he has not known any bright shades?
Could he be like me who grasps in the dark?
Who gambles dearly for some heart aces?
For none can describe – no colors or hue,
with this lovely feeling I have for you.

Emptiness

Sing me a song of gladness,
for there is nothing for me.
No sound, no hymn,
but silence.

Write me some lyrics of love,
for my heart has turned frosty.
no life, just ice,
not a hope.

Please pray for my wretched soul,
for within me a hollow.
My shining thoughts,
a shadow.

Ill feelings within my care-
suffocating angst and gloom,
as darkness boom,
evermore.

Breathe

The dizzying depths of darkness,
lost in your thoughts.
Drowning, suffocating coldness.
It drives you mad.

Sudden gestures as it devours.
An urge for flight.
Such cruel embrace, you endure.
It’s tempting bite.

Free falling, shutting all senses.
Too much to bear!
Freedom, escape for the restless.
Finally… air!

Pleasant Walk

My husband and I are always together. But, we don’t usually have time to go out on our own. It has always been work and children for us. We would spend more time with our kids yet, not enough time for one another.

Until that evening, it was suppose to be a boring PTA party. Happily, it turned out to be an unforgettable night.

It was so good to hold his hand again.

My poem, Pleasant Walk. Stay in love with your sweethearts.
