I Stand Alone

A smiling face,
your invitation.
I let you have my faith,
my salutation.

Your sweet gesture,
it has lured me so -
heed your every lecture,
denied you as low.

Thus, your secret -
uncovered, exposed.
Sadly I must forget,
lies that I believed.

I stand alone -
today, tomorrow.
As I’m away from home,
such cure for my sorrow.

Never to trust,
for my feelings sake.
No more ill, broken heart,
no more lies to take.

I stand alone -
tomorrow, today.
As I get closer home,
peace of mind, I pray.

Ill fate for us,
Farewell my dear friend
Alas, silence – a curse!
It must come to end.

Sonnet 005

A cold and uncaring heart you possess,
you hide it well with your beautiful smile.
How you break us down with your promises,
to give us hope then stab us with a lie.
A vicious wolf concealed in a lamb’s skin,
hungry for power, you strike as you please.
The aid for allegiance, your greatest sin,
as you torment us with your sweetest kiss.
Alas lost soul! A victim of this world,
your sane intellect poisoned by madness.
Still, there’s a beating in your heart, so cold.
In your soul remains bit of holiness.
For God had made men with a conscience,
such distinction unexplained by science.

Songs of the Past

Remember yesterday,
with that voice and blond hair.
You said one night you’ll stay,
with him, one silly dare.

Remember my own song,
as I make my choices.
A memory, I long-
my bed of roses.

Remember our sweet friend,
her love with boyz to men.
That music will not end,
even in our heaven.

Remembering my peers,
their stories and courage.
Songs eventually cease,
yet, these won't ever fade.

Crossing Bridges

She takes life seriously,

with a book under her nose.

The other one is cooler,

as she crams over her notes.

Two different young ladies,

preparing for the world.

Not knowing entirely,

what the future holds.

Suddenly, she snaps,

her optimism, lost.

The cool girl laughs,

‘Cross the bridge when you get there!’

Two young girl friends,

sharing each other’s dreams.

Enjoying life to the fullest,

taking dares in every turn.

Often times, she’s prepared.

Yet life, always not fair…

Her wise friend cheers,

‘Cross the bridge when you get there!’

Life has much sarcasm,

best to breathe it all and laugh.

Worries better left behind.

Let’s cross our own bridges when we get there.

Risking It All

You smiled as the clouds darken,

not a mere delight, but a dare.

So soon the rain has fallen,

we ran together, no such care.

You said, we risk it all.

Risk the rain,

that’s our game.

If we get caught, that’s a laugh.

You’ve fallen in love back then.

He did not feel, still you gamble.

You said in time he will see.

Your faithful heart, he will find.

You said, you risk it all.

Risk the pain,

That’s your game.

If you get hitched, he’s a tease.

We gambled and took the risks,

made the wrong turns and we prevailed.

Miles apart now, how I’ve missed.

To laugh with you under the rain.

Some people are hard to forget.

This one is for Mai.

Missing her and remembering the good times.

Friends forever!

Warlock

Caught within your spell,

I gazed upon your angel face.

Into your arms, I fell.

How I savored your warm embrace.

Safe as I can be,

within your hold, I will remain.

And we shall both see,

the souls of men in each domain.

Such gloom, you will bear.

My bitterness, you will withstand.

And we shall both hear,

the sufferings of evil men.

Thus hold becomes cold,

your comforting arms into air.

Achingly, you fade,

like the stars in the night, so fair.

A potion into a poison.

Your enchantment, lost.

An illusion, such creation -

death of my warlock!

Your Angel

Guide and protector of the lost,

she is patient and kind.

Your true friend till the end.

She who whispers the noble acts,

and sobs at your mischief.

An angel of pure love.

She keeps you secure from your foes.

With her comforting wings,

you are safe beyond reach.

Alas, white wings turn into black,

as enemies get close.

Ready to fight for you.

She is willing to be cast out,

to fill her hands with filth.

And live her life with lies.

An angel of light turning dark,

damned for her broken pact.

Your friend without a flaw.

Starting Fresh

I have seen your face,

a really pleasant one.

Still my reluctance.

Have you done something wrong?

I have heard you laugh,

and it touched my senses.

Yet again my doubt,

to feel sudden coldness.

Who are you my friend?

Have I met you before?

You offered me aid,

then you let me fall hard.

But that was a blur,

I can never recall.

Walk for the future,

Come join me, take my hand.

Never mind the past,

yesterday is long gone.

Today is a good start,

to know a friend once more.

Best Friends Forever

I can never leave you,

never will forget you.

Let us be friends my dear.

Amuse me with your grace.

I hate to lose your smile,

don’t want to miss your face.

Let’s be friends my sweetie.

Share with me your laughter.

Let me be your brother,

I’ll have you my sister.

Let us be friends my love.

We’ll have fun together.

Never will we be lovers.

I’ll love you just the same.

Let’s be friends forever.

Forever… till the end.

No Goodbyes

The sun sets in the East.
Never good bye my friend,
tomorrow we shall see.
The sun will rise again.

A lovely page has turned.
Only the beginning,
never the end my friend.
A new tale is written.

Never farewell my friend.
Not good bye but good day.
I will see you again,
in my heart you will stay.
